Love the changes genuinely. A smoothed out tutorial and more player agency are exactly what this game needed. The Nintendo team learned from BOTW and they nailed it.

Man it’s actually very cool how fast you can get thorough shit. Makes it that much more perfect to speed run and for repeated play throughs. Thank you for this guys. Let’s make this a regular thing.

im so happy to see my favourite game getting a solid remaster, old players will relive the adventure and new will experience one of the best stories zelda has to tell

To give more perspective on what that time means. In the current world record of the original sykward sword, the speedrunner gets to the surface in 15:08. But that is with a lot of glitching of course. That´s how fast the HD version is.

It looks so good! The Wii version looks so rough because of capture-card complications, but the HD version altogether looks so much more smooth and streamlined in every way compared to the original. This is now a very good game, Nintendo have done a good thing here. I’ll be much less eager to doubt them when they announce something like this in the future.

I remember the tutorial portion of SS being about 2 hours long. The HD version is nearly 9 times faster if you just skip all cutscenes. That is insane. Seeing the Switch version of SS is like that one person who wakes up so early that by the time the Wii version wakes up, the Switch version is just done with his work for the day.
