After a couple years, buy it. It’s still a masterpiece and will always be one. It’s so fun and the difficulty is tough but it makes you learn. The stuff you learn in sekiro will pass on with you in your future games. HIGHLY recommend please play it if you plan on playing harder games that have parrying

My favorite early game boss is Gyoubu, he is a great teaching moment to force you to block instead of dodge and on subsequent runs it’s still fun but it is much more tipped in your favor so you feel really great slaughtering an enemy who probably gave you a lot of trouble before.

One thing I learned about this game is you have to suffer, you have to go through failure, you have to really accept dying over and over again in order to become stronger and stronger again.

Totally different game for me after I finally beat Genichiro, or as I like to call him, the deflection master class. Idk how to describe it but after the hours of grueling attempts I just feel so much more confident and comfortable with deflections, countering perilous attacks and combat in general. Love this game.

The horse riding spear wielding boss really got me going, he wasn’t too tough but fighting him felt like taking a final exam that I had studied really well for (not that I’ve ever had that feeling)
