NES Zapper directly on my screen comes to mind. I tell you, the glass on those old tube televisions are a lot more scratch resistant than the current models. Speaking of those old screens, the way they bubbled out made it look like you were going faster/slower depending on the angle you looked at the screen. I remember most of my Dragon Warrior play time was me shifting from looking from the side to looking from the top and thinking I found a speed hack to zip around the world. Nobody corrected me because of the exercise I was getting.

Coin hacks for arcade was rampant, everybody had a trick, most common was having a nylon string attached to a coin. You had to had finesse and timing when dropping the coin and pulling it out.
