Second hand stores in Japan have been a God send for me. I managed to get a few RV cards and loose cards. Was kinda annoyed that kid cat and some other characters I wanted were like 40 a piece but I was lucky to get like 30 cards for a dollar a piece. Hopefully they get reprinted.

Amiibo Festival is actually selling highly atm because it comes with 3 highly demanded cards: Stitches, Rosie, and Goldie.

I only buy “fake” amiibo. They’re super cheap, you get to pick individual characters and they work exactly the same. Recently I got the whole Sanrio set and 6 villagers for like $20

The figures didn’t sell well. The cards however did sell well especially in Japan. Most costumer would buy the whole entire box instead of individual packs. Nintendo even had a investment meeting showing how well it sells. Don’t know where keep you getting it that from. Nintendo just didn’t make enough (as they always do) as the series 4 and welcome amiibo was the hardest one to find, and they even make the Sanrio cards right afterwards. As someone who actually has all series of then amiibo while they were coming out. Had to pay at least $120 per series which were hard find after series 3. And just finished the welcome and Sanrio cards.and I’m glad I’ve finished that series.
