This game had probably one of the best plot devices for a story, the Phantom Ruby, and left it so underused. For example, instead of unique twisted levels left corrupted by the Ruby, we got Zavok, Green Hill, and Chemical plant again.

In my opinion, the cutscenes In this trailer should have been in the game. 1. The way Classic Sonic comes out of the portal ties in with the ending of Mania as opposed to him running out of the portal in the final game. 2. In this trailer the terrain is uneven so the enemies stand on higher ground making them feel powerful but in the final game they’re on the same level of ground as you making them seem like not much of a threat!! 3. The way Infinite is portrayed in this is a villain that doesn’t really need to talk or introduce himself and he seems SOO powerful in the trailer and seems like nobody could even come close to him. But, in the game he comes across as a wannabe edgy guy. Let me know if u agree!!

The best way I can describe this game is this: Sonic Forces is a collection of fan-made movie scenes stitched together with simple, interactive moments with a near-insultingly low skill-ceiling.
