Cussan Channel Description:

We’re lifelong video game enthusiasts with a passion for showing the world how our favorite hobby has grown with us, from individual series to industry-wide retrospectives.
We put significant time and creative effort into each one of our videos, including research, digging into archives, recording voiceovers, and editing. Every video takes as many as 10 hours to produce, because we strive to give our fans consistent, high-quality content.
Our popular “Evolution of...” series goes far beyond simply presenting gameplay footage. We take the time to show how a video game property — its gameplay, character designs, graphics, sound direction, etc. — have evolved over time. We include unique voiceover work on each video to enhance the viewing experience.
People have been playing video games for decades. In that time, we’ve gone from moving a white line up and down to block a moving pixel, to participating in full-fledged, painstakingly rendered real-time battles with people all over the world. We help older gamers look back on how these experiences have changed throughout their lives, and new gamers to understand the broader context of the series they’re playing for the first time today.
The video game medium never stops growing, and we’ll never stop chronicling its evolution.
Recording, Editing, and voice over were made by me.

Fun fact about 3D Monster Maze: Animated in real time at 6-frames-a-second, Evans built a random maze generator, assuring that players would never learn the path. Somewhere within the randomly generated maze is the monster – a massive 8×8 pixel black and white Tyrannosaurus Rex – looking to eat the player up! As the player moves through the maze, the T-Rex becomes calmer or more excited depending on how close you are to it. On the screen, as you move about, come updates to help you get an idea of where the T-Rex is… REX LIES IN WAIT HE IS HUNTING FOR YOU FOOTSTEPS APPROACHING REX HAS SEEN YOU RUN HE IS BESIDE YOU RUN HE IS BEHIND YOU There is no map of the maze – you have to draw it by hand if you want to try and keep track of where you’ve been or if you’re going in circles. The thing is, while you’re drawing your map, the T-Rex is hunting, and the longer you’re in the maze, the faster the T-Rex gets!

Silent Hill 1-3 was the PEAK of Horror games. Nothing comes close in terms of everything a horror game has to offer. On some occasion, the graphics seems to become irrelevant to the real horror provided by the game instead it somehow enhanced it. We are talking about game developers that combined Pure Love and Pure Insanity into their game.

Wish, had flashbacks of playing silent hill at 2am on a school night when I was 14. That game was exceptionally well designed. (Shivers down the spine)

I love layers of fear! And currently playing alien isolation lol. It is a very intense game knowing a jumpscare can literally happen at any moment 😳

When I saw Resident Evil 7 Biohazard i got happy because that’s one of the best horror games i’ve played in my life. The storyline is legit interesting, it kills me.

Old game graphics was like reading a book. They just explained enough for your imagination to fill in the horror gaps, so you emotionally internalised it.
