GeForce GTX 1060 6GB in 2021

I have the card for 5 years now used to pair it with i5 4690 4th gen. I recently upgraded my whole kit to an i9 11900k but the 1060 is still there. Increased my fps by 30-40 and still gaming on 1080p even in newer titles with a little compromise at the graphics quality. The thing is a beast and its definitely kept on a self and a spot in my heart when i eventually upgrade my GPU (When the prices go back to normal).

Decided to dig out my old Asus RoG with the gtx1060. Going to fill it with games for my partner. Looking at the frame rate, this machine is on par with a PS4.

I have this card since its launch, I overclocked it and it goes 2050mhz clock with vram running over 8k mhz. It goes 15-20 fps more in certains games compared to this model in the video as I remember. Btw yes, the time is almost done for this super VCard! I am waiting for radeon 6800xt to appear in the market.

Definitely love YT for suggesting me this video. I own a 1060 and I knew it still packs a punch for today standards. Going to upgrade my CPU first. My i5-7500 with 4c/4t aged like milk.

For all those people saying stuff about 1060, yes the card is a bit out for today’s modern games. But you gotta know not all pc gamers are elitists and don’t have all the time to play every god damn game. Sure if you want to play and have the most enjoyable experience out there, this probably isn’t the gpu for you. Also technology evolves pretty quick, so there’s no doubt the card won’t be a standard anymore for 1080p/60. So please stop whinning
