Definetely buying that i5. AMD CPUs are more expensive in my country and this looks like a great alternative for it.

The performance of the two is not bad =). - Intel a fairly optimized architecture and especially multitasking (perfect for streaming). - Amd performs quite well (especially in video games) but when streaming it does not get the maximum performance, very economical processor with good specifications, the bad (it usually gives it a bottleneck or low performance. SUMMARY: both are worth worse that depends on your budget .

I can see the increase in FPS from the Ryzen CPU, but honestly they’re both pretty good. I would just buy whichever one is cheaper at a given time.

This test might be inaccurate because some tests dont use the same cooler for the intel and amd cpus. The amd cpu comes with a stock cooler, but it is much better to use an aftermarket cooler, boosting performance.

The i9400f is really a beast at gaming for its price but the ryzen just has more advantages like more threads cheaper boards oc etc.

With a typical mid range GPU like a 1660 Ti there will be little to no difference between the two. Considering the lower price of the 9400f it seems like a much better deal for a pure gaming setup right now.
