I have to say. I’m surprised at the correct predictions in this video. Not only has mother 1 and 2 been put on the service, but switch sports is also, at the same time, now announced, and a fan made trailer mock-up of a claymation recreation of mother 3 has been made. I am thoroughly surprised.

The contrast between celebrating the series and not releasing it any region is bizarre. Either Nintendo’s planning a trilogy/remake or they literally don’t want anyone to play Mother.

Jon is thinking like me: a Grezzo engine Earthbound remake would be perfect. And it’s about time a Mother collection came out.

I don’t think it’s too farfetched to see the mother games come as a collection but most likely Japanese exclusive, because NoA just don’t seem interested at all in Mother 3. And as we’ve seen with the limited release of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light they could have released a translation when they wanted to on the switch as a standalone game but they just don’t want to I suppose
