Still using it. For 5 years now, such a solid GPU. But it started to run hot at 80c with most modern games the past 6 months. Gonna build a new PC when Nvidia Ampere launches. Will be fun.

970 is still a beast so glad Nvidia went with 4GB of video buffer rather than only 3GB for future proofing.

This is still the card in my computer, I play a lot of ultra modded Skyrim/fallout and play many recent triple a’s with insane reliability for such an old card. Long overdue for an upgrade but just so many other things going on in life.

I still use two gtx 970s (dual workstation) and am completely content with the gaming performance my PC has provided since building it five years ago. 1080p monitors are more than enough to serve my needs and have no intention of grabbing 1440p or higher monitors anytime soon (even for light content creating), so I definitely plan to hold on to these guys for as long as possible!

If it can keep AC Odyssey above 40, that’s a solid GPU honestly. This is the budget nvidia card people should look out for.

I still own this and had no issues with it yet, I think that it is one of the most popular graphics cards games are quite well optimised for it.
