Gothic 1 & 2 are still one of the best RPGs ever developed. Cant believe you guys put G1 in your list <3 It really deserves not to be forgotten :)

As someone with almost 400 hours in Kenshi, it is a masterpiece, large map, a lot to do, lots of mods to choose from, endless hours of challenging, yet inticing fun.

When I first played KCD right after its launch, I absolutely hated it and found its nuanced mechanics frustrating. But over time, it started growing on me. I got immersed into medieval Bohemia, its characters, Henry’s story and started appreciating the fact that it deviated from the typical fantasy RPG with magic and dragons.

The original Gothic will always be my favorite game. Kept you in the sweet spot of trying to get somewhere for 30 hours. Outwards is good too for the same reasons.

Kingdom Come is one of the best RPGs I’ve ever played, I was really skeptical about it at first but the story is so immersive and once you get over how floaty the combat can be at times it’s some of the most fun you can have in a game to date
