They can rise the prices all they want, Im still going to buy them when they are complete edition at $30 or less.

I doubt that the price hike will result in more "consumer friendly" business practices by big publishers. It will definitely make gamers pickier about which titles to buy.

Digital games should cost less due to a lack of manufacturing cost, just like how the digital specific ps5 is cheaper.

The price hike has taken affect in South Africa already, since the beginning of the 8th gen era, Our games has been 1000 Rand (with converts to about $60) and recently, looking at TLOU2, our prices have shot up to R1100/R1200 which is roughly the $10 increase. So unfortunately I do see this becoming the norm in the 9th gen in our country at least
