“You can still see your character in the mirror!” What a freaking joke CDPR!! And please stop hiding behind this ridiculous vale of “immersion.” No one had any problems being immersed in Witcher 3! One of the greatest games ever made!!!

Im with either, but I wish it was optional to choose between first person or third person like in GTA 5

I’d rather see my custom protagonist like I’m playing an interactive film, with well composed and visually compelling cutscenes, vs “being them” when I don’t really care to be.

I think it will make you feel more like the character so in that sense improved immersion, not sure if the benefit of that is reduced by the limitations it may bring in the total experience.
