The ending statements about loot boxes and gambling was absolutely beautiful. This man needs a podium spot in every gaming court case.

What surprises me is that Anthem was such a beautiful game with an amazing concept, it had so much potential and the devs clearly put their heart into it but EA being EA released an unfinished game and then expected people to pay for the micro transactions as well. Anthem could have been am entire single player franchise and they could have earned so much. They ruin their own reputation with their greed.

EA is now known universally as "The most evil corporation in gaming history" which is sad, because they started off so well, making/being behind so many awesome games, some of my all time favorite retro games belong to them in fact, i.e. Future Cop LAPD, Road Rash, Skullmonkeys. They literally choke the life out of everything great they get their hands on. They are like Mr.Burns smelling flowers, but worse.

You can also add: trying to bully a country. When Belgium decided that lootboxes were gambling, and as such should follow gambling laws, EA refused to comply, saying they would take Belgium to court over it. They kept up this grandstanding with press releases and threats (without going to court of course) until they received a final warning from the Belgian Gaming Commission saying they would be fined millions of Euros for every infraction. EA quietly and quickly complied.

4:27 ... a sense of pride and accomplishment?! What the hell have you accomplished in a game when you unlock everything by paying for it instead of unlocking it through playing the game?!

“They screw up a lot.” They LITERALLY screwed up...made the mistake...and most people learn from their mistakes. Not EA. They continued to make the SAME mistakes for a solid DECADE! AND CONTINUE TO MAKE THEM IN SPORTS GAMES.
