GTX 1070 vs RTX 3070 - 4 Years Difference

maybe this difference is only noticeable when u see it yourself in real. its almost like with the hz rates on screens, i was always using a 60hz screen and my friend said get a 144hz screen. and i said nahhh there wont be much difference. and then one day i bought a 144hz. man i was wrong, theres a huge difference !

Noticed something interesting watching this video. The RTX consumes almost twice the power and the same i9 CPU runs twice as hard with the RTX in play. Seems like the hardware architecture from GTX to RTX puts substantially more load on the system CPU. With something like and i9, thats not a big deal, but folks upgrading an older system with something like and i5, might possibly not get the results they are looking for. Additionally even the system memory utilization is higher.

All the 70 cards in their respective series have been good imo. The sweet spot and balance between price and performance. Apart from the 3070 because the price~~

When used at £200 the GTX 1070 was a bargain, it was also a bargain after launch at £350 and continues to see me thru these dark times of GPU shortages.
