This game was super hype for me especially since L4D was nostalgic in my childhood. Was devastated when I learned Tank wasn’t in the game, but there’s a lot of new additions that seem exciting.

Tips for the ones who play: 1. If you want to play solo but get supply points, join a public lobby, leave, then continue the run. You should get a solo session to avoid griefers. 2. Start on the easiest difficulty. So you get knowledge of the missions. 3. Prioritize spending points on CARDS. In a game that uses cards, it is best to get the best cards so clear out supply lines with more cards than cosmetics. 4. Always carry a stun gun if you play with bots or people. Even bots can take their sweet time freeing you. 5. Get the bloodlust card, and any other card that enhances stamina and melee damage and carry a melee weapon. 6. Play as mom. She may look lame, but she has 2 supply slots and if you get a card that adds 2 more supply slots, you can carry 4 med kits. 7. Try getting the money grubber card ASAP and top it off with the card that spawns more copper. On my current run, I have 11K in copper halfway through act 1 on Veteran and it helps a lot.

I picked it up because I was a huge L4D fan back in the day. I definitely think its fun and the card system adds some nice strategy, but I am so disappointed that they don’t have a campaign multiplayer mode like they had on the L4D games. My buddies and I played that mode all the time. I know they have that horde multiplayer type mode but its not the same. I fear that the lack of this mode will make the replay value of this game diminish as time goes on. But its fun for now

Good overview, it’s good that you mentioned the inspired aspects of the game like the licensed music playing on the jukebox as the horde attacks. Those moments really enhance the experience of playing a game.

I like how he described the specials, letting us know it still has tanks, hunters, spitters and witches without calling them by their old names.

With so many games being relatively similar to other popular games have you ever thought about doing a series where you compare games of similar type and playstyle and give your opinions on the better version?
