Why The Live-A-Live Remake Is So Important

I really appreciate your passion on this topic. I was unsure of whether to order this game or not, but this convinced me. If nothing else, to support Nintendo in bringing back to life more series I’d love to get the chance to play, or to give life to series that maybe released at the wrong time but deserve another shot. My hugest dream- remakes of Golden Sun. And I’d LOVE to play Mother 3. Thanks for this one!

I wholeheartedly agree Zion. Game preservation is so important. As a member of the younger gaming generation, we never got to play some of the hits like Chrono Trigger, or the Mother games. The mother games (up until now) we’re fairly difficult to access and chrono trigger even more so (I don’t want to play it on my phone lol). So I definitely believe Nintendo are taking steps in the correct direction.

The big thing around the remake of Live A Live, is that there are a TON of other really amazing JRPGs from the SNES/Super Famicon era that still today has never been localized and many of those JRPGs are indeed from Square Enix (as in Square and Enix when they were separate). Games like Treasure Hunter G, Bahamut Lagoon, Treasure of the Rudras etc.
