I had the exact same reaction haha! Dead certainty it was Detective Pikachu 2, or maybe Switch port. Then confusion - is it a new Arceus game?! Gen 9?! Then the starters hit :D I was tempted by Fuecoco the chilli croc, but I absolutely have to take Sprigatito!! I just hope the final evolution stays on all fours

Visually it inherits many of the same technical issues from the looks of it.
HOWEVER, Artistically it is SO MUCH more vibrant and varied.

Sprigatito ! Already in love with him. 🐈
In all honesty, if It was SwSh graphics with Arceus gameplay/scale, I’d be happy.

It’s interesting how each generation’s setting is based on a certain real-life region.
Gen 1 - Kantō region (Kanto)
Gen 2 - Kansai region (Johto)
Gen 3 - Kyushu (Hoenn)
Gen 4 - Hokkaidō (Sinnoh)
Gen 5 - New York (Unova)
Gen 6 - France (Kalos)
Gen 7 - Hawaii (Alola)
Gen 8 - UK (Galar)
With Gen 9, it looks like they’re basing it off of Spain & Portugal. There are two maps in the trailer (one live-action, one in-game) that depict the Iberian Peninsula, and the architecture is clearly Spanish down to the obvious reference to La Sagrada Familia.

Looks really promising, looks like it’s running poorly but Arceus had similar issues when it was first shown off. Hopefully it’s worth getting our hopes up for this!
