We've Played as Link in Super Mario Maker 2 2.0 - Is It Any Good?

That's right! We've had a right ruddy good go at playing as our boy Link in Super Mario Maker 2's new 2.0 update, but how does he fare?

My favorite new addition is the spike, by far, because you can turn it into a spike ball. The frozen coins also have a lot of potential, too.

Sooo hyped for this, it will finally get me back to making more courses, with a fresh, burning inspiration playing to the new capabilities of Link in SMM2!

Ya know, if they plan on adding more unique characters in the SMB style, then I would like Kirby and Samus to be added, like here what they can do; For Kirby, he can inhale the enemies and objects, like P-Switches and POW blocks (dunno about the copying though) and spit them back out as a projectile, and can float around (though that means that players can just cheese the level, so how about 6 short jumps), and do his slide kick move to break brick blocks, and stuff like that! Basically his move set from Kirby’s adventure on the GameBoy As for Samus, she can just be like how she is in the NES Metroid, being 2 blocks and all, and have her morph ball to roll under one-block gaps, and shoot projectiles, and use her screw attack by pressing A while in midair, and use her Bombs in her morph ball form to destroy blocks (similar to Link’s bombs!) As for the Powerups themselves, Kirby’s can be a Warp Star, just like in his games, and Samus’s can be the Screw Attack item that she uses to transform into her! There is just so much that they can do! Just we wait!

The thing with the _Maker_ community is that even the simplest addition, while seemingly uninteresting, can have massive consequences for the types of levels which can be made. I look forward to seeing what people can do with _all_ of the new features, no matter how humble in appearance.
